Huashan Hospital

Established in 1910, Huashan Hospital was the earliest general teaching hospital affiliated to Shanghai Medical University. It has 800 beds and staff of 1,670, of whom 80 percent are medical and professional personnel, and 221 are professors and associate professors.

As a teaching hospital, it has 3 national key subjects, offering 9 doctoral programs and 17 Master's programs. Neuro-medicine, neurosurgery, hand surgery, dermatology, traditional Chinese medicine combined with western medicine are the hospital's features taking the lead at home.

Teaching and research institutions established in the hospital are: Huashan School of Clinical Medicine, Shanghai Institute of Hand Surgery, Institute of Anabiotic, Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Combined with Western Medicine, Institute of Neurology and WHO Collaborating Center for Neurology.
